THE POT STILL
Previously known as the Gordon Arms Hotel and M&Co retail, 'the Pot Still' is a current redevelopment in Elgin Town Centre which MADE are involved with. As the creative partner, we are working alongside Moray Council and Robertsons Builders to breathe new life into this space - with BIG plans to house a gallery, making facilities (printmaking, dark room, fab lab, ceramics), artist studios and an education room. 'the Pot Still', the venues new name, comes from the name of a previous pub attached to the hotel. The funding for this project comes from the UK Levelling Up Fund and is part of a wider strategic vision for Elgin, looked after by the Elgin Neighbourhood Board. This includes upgrades to the Town Hall, Cooper Park and Grant Lodge. To get an insight into the current state of the building, you can take our 360 tour here.
Thanks to Jason Sinclair and Dean Taylor for the images and film work. Hear more about our approach to branding here.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
In May 2026, two working groups were formed, to help take the Pot Still from a vision to reality. These groups will work for 18 months, with MADE staff and board, to realise all of the operational and creative practicalities of the space, from security to programming and membership to opening hours! These individuals applied to support the project on a voluntary basis, and for that MADE are extremely thankful.
